We recognize that all of our patients are unique and deserve to receive orthodontic care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding orthodontic experience every time you visit our practice. We are pleased to welcome you and your family, and we look forward to working with you.
I love building relationships with our patients and their families, hearing about what’s been happening in their lives since their last visit and their plans for the future. Each patient has their own stories to share and I love the recounting of their adventures and learning about their hobbies. Once treatment is completed, it’s incredible to see their beautiful new smiles and how thrilled the patients are. I greet each patient when they come through our doors, and I answer our phones and handle scheduling, too. I also organize our patient files and balance our end-of-day totals, to make sure everything is in order. Prior to working at our front desk, I had 10 years of experience as a clinical assistant. Away from work, I enjoy shopping and spending time with my family and friends. My daughter is currently away at college and my son is still home and in high school.
Treatment Coordinator, Financial and Insurance Processor
I love meeting new patients and their families. Getting them familiar with what we can do for them, through orthodontics, and seeing how excited they get over the prospect of having a beautiful, healthy smile, is wonderful. One of the best experiences is after treatment is finished and I show them their before and after photos: they see how far they’ve come and all that they’ve achieved, and they feel so good about themselves! I prepare new patients for their initial consultation, take X-rays and photos, and gather the pertinent information for the chart. Then I work alongside of Dr. Wilcko during the consultation, explaining what to expect during treatment, answering questions for the patient and their family and assuring them that they are in good hands. I also present treatment fees and discuss payment options, working with the family to find an option that is right for them and their budget, and I handle insurance claims, too. I am a lifelong Erieite, my husband and I have been married for more than 35 years. I have two adult children, both with “Wilcko Smiles,” and two beautiful granddaughters. Much of my time outside work is spent with my friends and my family. I love to decorate, garden, read, follow baseball (Go Rays!), and watch movies.
I love how every day, and every patient, is different. I never know what the day is going to present me with, and that keeps me on my toes, in a very good way. Each patient we care for comes with their own needs and requires a certain approach; I love learning how best to work with them, respecting their individuality and developing a rapport with each. My duties include assisting Dr. Wilcko in the operatory, as he cares for our patients. I also keep the treatment area sterilized, organized, and stocked with everything needed to provide patient care. My other duty is helping with marketing for our office, as I have a Bachelor degree with a concentration in marketing, management, and psychology from Penn State Berhand. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors, going for hikes with my chocolate lab, Jackson, and doing a little fishing. I am also a dance instructor for Long’s School of Dance.
I wake up each morning excited to see our patients. When a patient comes in for their appointment, I know that they’re going to have all kinds of new things to tell us about, whether they’re talking about what’s happening in school or their latest adventures with their friends. I love watching their excitement build as they get closer to finishing their treatment and can see their new smile emerging. I work directly with our patients in the operatory, assisting Dr. Wilcko as he is caring for them. I also keep the treatment space sterile and organized, with everything the doctor needs right at hand. But my focus is always keeping the patient smiling. My personal life is very family focused, especially with my two children. I enjoy reading and learning new things.
Head Clinical Assistant
I enjoy interacting with different patients and their families every day. As this is a very hands-on job, I spend a lot of time one-on-one with each patient and really get to know them as a person. They can always make me laugh and I love hearing about their lives. I also enjoy the variety of my work day, because every patient requires different treatment, so there is no set routine. I am part of our internal marketing team here at the practice. I also manage our Facebook page, and track inventory and order supplies. I make sure that our patients are comfortable during their visits and provide home care instructions and education, too. I’m originally from the small town of Derry, PA, and moved to Erie four years ago. My husband Michael and I have a son. I attended IUP and earned my Dental Assisting diploma at the Great Lakes Institute of Technology. Spending time with family and friends is very important to me, but I also enjoy cooking, love 80s movies and music, and am a fan of the Steelers.
Laboratory Technician, Marketing Director
I love all the different roles I get to play within our office. I participate in almost every position here, which means I am constantly challenged, and that’s when I work best. I particularly enjoy working with our patients, making them feel welcome and at home during their visits, as does the rest of our team. My duties are many and varied. I fabricate most of our appliances, retainers, and mouth guards, and I monitor laboratory inventory and order supplies. I help with training the operatory staff, and schedule training sessions and continuing education courses for our team members. I also manage the internal and external marketing of our practice, and work with our marketing team to help our practice grow. Most of the time, when I’m not at work, you’ll find me outdoors. I love camping, kayaking, going to the beach with my family and friends, and getting that all-essential “mom time,” too. The favorite part of my day is laughing with my husband and two daughters, and enjoying the antics of our three dogs.
